Drupal Imagecache Not Generating Images


When previewing an imagecache preset, even if the preview image is broken (which demonstrates there is a problem) there should be a link from the broken image to the page request. I had not gone back and given that permission to any role, so it seemed to me that imagecache was mysteriously not working. One caveat - I'm running Dev Desktop with an Apache server, and I did get an error when I updated my drupal install. Curiously, the ImageAPI GD2 toolkit showed up under admin but it was disabled under modules.

If not then something is not compatible with new Drupal release, because it's not using proper function to generate security tokens. On my shared server a new drupal 7.20 install with only admin_menu & mollom installed directories and files are not created for thumbnails in the default/files/styles directory. Look in filesystem and no sites/default/files/styles/medium directory. After upgrading to Drupal 7.20 everything still worked fine. Summary: I don't think it has something to do with permissions as the files/tmp folder was created by drupal. check over here location ~ .*\.(gif|jpg|jpeg|png|bmp|swf)$ { expires 30d; } I think this directive lack of concerning try_files and cause 404.

What was the issue with the .htaccess? Above test has been successful (file has been generated successfully in your files dir), if so, check if your failing picture from the log actually exists, maybe it was removed from Log in or register to post comments Comment #18 cfox612 CreditAttribution: cfox612 commented March 22, 2013 at 6:16pm I'm also getting these errors. This kind of error should be detected on status report.

This may not be the solution for everyone though because of the obvious known security risks but it might be an option for some.
